Effective August 27, 2026

You can delete your Activate The Nation account at any time, and you do not need anyone’s permission to do it. This page explains how, and exactly what is deleted.

## In the app — the fastest way

- Open Activate The Nation and go to your profile.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account, at the bottom.
- Type the confirmation word and confirm. Deletion happens immediately.

You are signed out as soon as it completes, and the sign-in that was attached to the account — your phone number or email — is removed, so it cannot be used to reach the account again.

## Without the app

If you have uninstalled the app, changed phones, or cannot sign in, email remove@activatethenation.com from the email address on your account, or from an address where we can reach you, and tell us the phone number or email you signed up with. We will confirm it is your account, delete it, and reply to say it is done. Expect a reply within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

You can use the same address if someone recorded your name and contact details through one of our connect forms and you would like that record removed, even if you never had an account.

## What is deleted

Immediately, and permanently:

- Your sign-in — the phone number or email address you used, and the credential behind it.
- Your profile: display name, photo, bio, city and region.
- Your testimony, including the answers you wrote privately and never shared.
- Your prayer requests, and the prayers you marked for other people.
- Your notifications, and the push tokens for every device you were signed in on.
- The scrambled contact values from your address book, if you ever asked the app to find people you know.
- The name and contact details of anyone you connected with through a connect code or a said-yes form.

## What remains, and why

Messages you have already sent stay in the conversations you sent them to, shown as coming from “Deleted account”. They are other people’s copies of a conversation they took part in, and removing your side of it would rewrite their record rather than yours. If a specific message needs to come down, report it or email us and we will remove it.

Counts stay. If you prayed with someone who said yes, that decision is still counted — but nothing identifying either of you remains attached to it.

Reports about abuse stay for as long as we need them to keep people safe, and to meet our legal obligations. Deleting an account does not erase a record of harm done to someone else.

Encrypted backups roll off on their own schedule, so a copy may persist there for a short period after deletion before it is overwritten.

## Your REVA Bible account is separate

If you connected a REVA Bible Companion account to read and mark up Scripture, that is a different account with a different sign-in, and deleting this one does not delete it. Disconnect it in Settings before you go, or delete it in REVA Bible Companion.
